UK Pastry Club

UK Pastry Club brings people together to raise the recognition of UK pastry as among the best in the world.

Our purpose is to raise awareness of UK pastry chefs—some of the most talented craftsmen in the world—and to select and support candidates who will represent the UK at the World Pastry Cup.

The Club is chaired by Denis Drame MCA, working alongside a committee composed of Martin Chiffers, President of the UK Pastry Team, and Anne-Sophie Millon, Treasurer of the Club.

The Club’s Promotional Manager is Laurian Veaudour, and the Team Coordinator is Rebecca Chen.

Barry Johnson, Jodi Hinds, Morgane Cateau, and a representative of our faithful sponsors are also part of the committee.

We also count on the support of our club members: Benoit Blin MCA, Florian Poirot, Franco Desimone, Cherish Finden, Nicolas Houchet, Chris Seddon, and Emmanuel Bonneau.

The Program

The theme for the 2025 final of the Pastry World Cup is NATIONAL HERITAGE. 

Throughout their work in the contest, the teams should endeavor to highlight the heritage of their respective countries. Duration of the contest: 9 hours, with: + 3 tasting tests + 3 artistic tests + Creation of a buffet integrating the below creations.

Winner European Pastry Cup 2012, 2014 and 2022

Best Sugar Prize of the competition in 2017, Best Sugar Prize and eco-responsibility prize in 2019.

The UK team was part of the Top 7 in 2017 and top 5 in 2019. The best nations automatically qualified to the next grand finale.

The UK Pastry team came 4th in 2023!

Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie 2025

The UK Pastry team for 2025 was represented by Michael Kwan, Wallace Li, Rémy Pugeot and Glen Sharman. After months of intensive training, followed by 10 hours of competition and what felt like endless hours waiting for the Pastry World Cup results – the UK Pastry Team were declared 9th Best Pastry Team in the World.
